B.N.A. had political problems which soften them to confederation, they were overly pushed into confederation by the terminus of the reciprocity treaty.          at that state of affairs were political problems in B.N.A. which lead them into confederation, the current system of presidential term wasnt working and they couldnt keep it. Lower Canada felt that they didnt wee-wee abounding say and that their culture wasnt being represented at that place were problems among upper and lower Canada.
